This is a pudding-like, gently exfoliating sponge made with edible grade, pH tested konjac fibers in Japan, used since the Edo Period for babies and adults.
Traditionally used to rebalance the skin's pH, it can neutralize acidity on skin during breakouts. The Alkalinity is the most important factor for an authentic Japanese Konjac sponge, differentiating it from your typical mass made factory sponges
Japanese Konjac fibers have a natural aqueous water layer that is alkaline, which helps to neutralize the acidity and bacteria, clearing away dead skin and build up from pores - recommended as a natural remedy for keratosis pilaris
Lighten up dark spots on the face, elbows, armpits, back, necklines, groin, inner thigh and genital areas by gentle clearing away dead skin daily (please scrub gently in delicate areas)
Clinically Tested and Proven pH of 8.4 alkalinity helps to neutralize acidity and bacteria
When soaked in water, the sponge swells to create a natural alkaline water layer for a "pudding" like softness, perfect for gentle exfoliation
Generates extra lather (save water and $$$)
Made with premium, edible-grade Konjac Fiber grown in the Tōhoku Region in Japan from local farms
No preservatives or artificial colors, BPA-FREE, free of any harsh chemicals, making it gentle enough for your most private parts
Three Colors available: Snowy White, Cherry Blossom and Green Tea infused Konjac Sponges
Soak in warm water until soft and plump, then apply body or face wash for lather.
After use, squeeze dry and place back into reusable pouch or box, then place in the fridge. Do not leave out while moist as it may cause molding. Dry it completely before taking it on travels.
External use only.

Made in Japan
What kind of box or pouch can I store this in? Any plastic food container or pouch is fine, or even without a container in a skincare fridge is suitable. The container prevents cross-contamination with foods while it dries out.
Why would this grow mold if I leave it out? Mold can grow on natural fibers like Konjac when completely free of preservatives or strong anti-fungal chemicals/pesticides. It’s a natural degradation process, but it will not happen when it’s completely dry - so do put it back in the fridge after use.
Can I use this on my face?
Yes. However, avoid scrubbing with too much pressure, as the sponge fibers are resilient enough to clear away dead skin cells and debris.
Is the more Alkaline the sponge, the better?
Too Alkaline or Acidic is actually not so good for skin, as you want to avoid PH disruptions - skin is naturally more acidic, and 8.4 offers just enough alkalinity to balance.
"I did notice that it minimizes the bumps on the back of my arms by quite a bit, as well as other areas I struggle with in grown hairs with."
